Comparatives & superlatives
Comparatives compare two things (bigger, more expensive).
1What is it?
Comparatives compare two things (bigger, more expensive). Superlatives pick the top of a group (the biggest, the most expensive).
2Why do we use it?
Opinions need comparison: Kochi is busier than Kollam. This is the best dosa in town.
3The simple rule
Short adjectives: add -er / -est (tall → taller → the tallest). Long adjectives: more / the most (beautiful → more beautiful → the most beautiful). Irregular: good → better → best; bad → worse → worst.
