Why can’t we see stars in the daytime?
1Read
The stars are still there in the daytime. They never go away.
The Sun is a star too, but it is very close. Its light fills the sky and makes the air glow bright blue.
The other stars are very far, so their light is weak. In the bright sky, that weak light is lost — like a candle in front of a floodlight.
At night, the Sun is on the other side of the Earth. The sky goes dark, and the faint starlight can finally be seen. On the Moon, where there is no air to glow, you can see stars even in the day.
