Ages 3–7 · 6 pages · Lesson: Keep going
🐇

A hare laughed at a tortoise. “You are so slow! I can beat you in any race.”

🐢

“Let’s race, then,” said the tortoise quietly.

🏁

Ready, steady, go! The hare ran far ahead in seconds.

😴

“I have lots of time,” thought the hare. He lay under a tree and fell asleep.

🐢

The tortoise walked and walked. Step, step, step. He did not stop.

🏆

When the hare woke up, the tortoise was crossing the finish line. The tortoise won!
