The Little Seed That Grew
A tiny seed learns that growing takes time — and that’s perfectly okay.
Ages 3–5 · 6 pages · Lesson: PatienceOnce there was a tiny seed. It was small and brown, and it slept quietly under the ground.
One day, soft rain fell. Drip, drip, drip. The little seed woke up!
The seed drank the water and grew a tiny green sprout. It pushed up, up, up through the soil!
The warm sun smiled down every day, and the little sprout grew taller and taller.
One sunny morning, the sprout opened up wide. It had become a beautiful flower!
A friendly butterfly came to visit. "You grew so big!" it said. The little flower was proud it never gave up.
Just like the little seed, growing takes time and patience — and that's perfectly okay!
Talk about it
Ask your child: What happened first? Who was kind? What would you do? Then let them retell the story in their own words.
