The Goose with the Golden Eggs

A farmer gets greedy and loses everything.

Ages 5–8 · 6 pages · Lesson: Patience
🪿

A farmer had a special goose. Every morning, it laid one golden egg.

🥚

The farmer sold the eggs and became rich, one egg a day.

🤔

“One egg a day is too slow,” he thought. “There must be many golden eggs inside the goose!”

🔪

So he cut the goose open to take all the eggs at once.

😮

But inside, there were no eggs at all. The goose was just a goose.

😢

Now there were no more golden eggs — not even one a day.

🌟
Moral of the story

Be patient and thankful for what you have. Greed can make you lose it.
